The Jacob Plan

The Jacob Plan is a ministry arm of The Church at Stirling that resources the wider body by teaching on the importance of the Hebraic roots of our Christian faith. Jesus was born a Jew, lived as a Jew, talked as a Jew and worshipped as a Jew, so to best understand Him and His teachings we need to approach Him from a Hebraic perspective.  It is to this root, the Hebraic root, which the Church is grafted in to (Romans 11:17-24).

With this understanding of the Hebraic roots of our Christian faith, The Jacob Plan also teaches the wider body on ‘Why care for Israel’, a teaching that examines the scriptural basis for ‘Gentile Christians’ to love Jews and to stand in support of the Nation of Israel.  This teaching illuminates what we believe is a clear scriptural duty (Rom 15:27) to minister and support our Jewish brothers with tangible expressions of God’s love including our support / solidarity for the modern day Nation of Israel.

We are committed to the following goals:

  1. The convergence of the Jew and Gentile in Messiah (One New Man Ephesians 2:15).
  2. To educate and equip Christians to identify with the Biblical/Hebraic foundations of our faith
  3. To encourage meaningful and supportive relationships between Christians and Jews.
  4. To bless the Nation of Israel and Jews worldwide, through practical assistance, volunteer service, and prayer.
  5. To communicate Christian perspectives to the attention of Israeli leaders and the Jewish community-at-large.
  6. To counter Anti-Semitism worldwide and maintain there is no excuse for acts of terrorism against Israel.  We believe that Israel has the same right as every other nation to defend her citizens from such violent attacks.
  7. To support Israel’s divine God-given right to exist in her God-given land.  We believe that the Jewish people have a right to live in their ancient land of Israel, and that the modern State of Israel is the fulfilment of this historic right. We stand with our brothers and sisters in Israel speaking out on their behalf whenever and wherever necessary.

“For Zion’s sake we will not hold our peace and for Jerusalem’s sake we will not rest” (Is.62:1).

If we can be a resource to you and help you better understand scripture through a Hebraic approach or help you understand why Israel is important in the plans and purposes of God please contact us at the office or at jacobplan@churchatstirling.co.uk

Kids’ Ministries

The Church at Stirling is committed to the spiritual growth of children of all ages.  We believe that children are not only the future church but they are also the church of today.  The Church at Stirling’s children are being trained in biblical truths and equipped to see the power of God working in their lives and the lives of others.

Throughout all of our children’s ministries the W.O.W factor is in operation:

Word - the Word of God being taught to our children in an age appropriate and relevant way;

Oracles – welcoming the Holy Spirit into children’s ministry;

Worship – praise and worship that children can relate to.

Teenies -

Our Teenies Church serves children aged 6 months – 2 years and uses play based learning, music and crafts to actively teach the children the Word of God.

Tots -

Our Tot’s Church serves children aged 2 – 4 years and sees the bible comes to life using a multi sensory approach including music, movement, crafts, stories and games.

Kids –

Our Kid’s Church serves children aged 5 – 12 years and uses a variety of methods to equip the children with the Word and see the power of God in their lives.

N.B.: All children’s workers and helpers are registered and checked through Disclosure Scotland.

Worship

The Bible says that “in the presence of the Lord there is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16v11) and we aim to show that through the way we worship at The Church at Stirling.

Led by a fantastic team of contemporary musicians, the whole church sings praise and worship to give back to God all the glory and honour in the power of the Holy Spirit.

The year of 2010 prompted the team to pursue ENERGY and INTIMACY with God through our worship.  Now, as they start 2011, they aim to carry that on whilst also challenging themselves, and the congregation, to go beyond the song when they meet together to praise.  Every song they sing provides a springboard from which they can praise God from the overflow of their hearts.

So, join them as they pursue a Holy and Powerful God together, seeking to honour Him with the the words of their mouths and the meditations of their hearts! (Psalm 19v14)
